Rock Climbing

The much anticipated rock-climbing event is finally here! The response for the event was off-the-charts, many enthusiastic individuals actually turned up for the event way before the meeting time. It was one of those events that forced the registration list to its fullest, attempting to break through the limit imposed. Clearly, everyone was just so excited for this event! After gathering everyone around, we finally set off down Swanston St for the amazing rock-climbing experience. The afternoon weather was fine as we made our way down the venue, there were lots of mingling, chatting and excitement on the way and we were there in no time. At the rock-climbing place, everyone was highly cooperative.

This led to the smooth execution of the group registration and the subsequent introductory rock-climbing training session. Soon, before we know it, we were already up on the walls, clinging onto the rocks and challenging each other on how fast it would take for each individual to make it to the top of the walls. To be honest, I was so intimidated by the guys from UniLodge. Little did I know that they possess such monstrous strength and tenacity. All it took was a blink of an eye, and they were already making their way to the top of the walls; that was just scary. Stephen and Yazdan, in particular, were constantly challenging themselves on increasingly difficult rock-climbing courses; having made like a dozen trips up and down the walls had little effect in tiring them down and inhibiting their hunger for even more rock-climbing! Altogether, the big bulky arms and agile bodies that navigated their way across rock-climbing walls effortlessly were definitely a sight to behold. Not to forget that the girls from UniLodge, namely Lea and Z, are equally adept in rock-climbing. Their swift movements on the walls had totally changed my perceptions of rock-climbing being confined as a guys only sport. Ultimately, everyone had so much fun that when the session finally ended, it was not hard to notice the down-casted expressions on some faces. In a nut-shell, the rock-climbing event is truly one experience that you would NEVER want to miss and I am sure that there will be lots more rock-climbing events to be organized in the near future. Jump on board this journey of incredible excitement and fun that would literally blow you away!!!
