Go Karting

There was a sense of nervousness and excitement in the air. As the lights turned green, the adrenalin rush kicked in and we all zoomed and fought to get to the first position. The day to race was finally here and skill and technique played a very good role such as not allowing people to overtake you...isn’t that right Bradley!!

We gathered a group of 15 people where Evana and Bradley from the Unilodge management also joined us for our fun race day out. We hired 2 maxi cabs to Auscarts in port Melbourne, where we were divided in to two groups and had a practice run to get a feel for the track and 2 heats. There was a consolation race for those who didn’t make it to the grand finals and a good boost for first timers. 8 people with the best times from the 2 groups in the final heats were chosen for the grand final and the race was on! Being a hot day for the indoor karting didn’t stop anyone from performing to their best of their ability.

It all came down to having fun and at the end of the day, it didn’t even feel like we had been there for a couple of hours. Congratulations to those who made it to the top 3 and those who missed out, don’t be disappointed...there is always a second chance where you’ll be more prepared and know what to expect. Cheers to good times!
Till our next event,
Take care and enjoy your holidays!
